Exactly as advertised! Amazing how much easier a job is with the right tool. Changing oil on a 2002 Volvo S40 was made much easier with the proper oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter. Where previous oil change jobs resulted in no filter change, this took a matter of minutes to remove.

After struggling for hours with all sorts of Oil Filter Wrenches from Autozone we finally gave up trying to remove the oil filter on my son’s 2006 S60 R.
We guessed that there must be a Volvo tool to do this and called a local Volvo dealer about buying a oil filter wrench. The parts department didn’t know much about it and then said they would get back to us, which they never did. Searched the internet and then found them being sold through Amazon.
Best price deal here, only shipping is expensive, but total price wasn’t bad and compared to the Volvo part a steal. Ordered oil filter wrench late on a Saturday and received it the following Tuesday in the mail. Great service as Amazon still had us not receiving it for a least another two days.
Packaged by Assenmacher and made very well of metal and a must tool for the Volvo owner who wants to do their own oil changes. The nut end is 21 mm, so if you use a wrench or socket you’ll need a 21 mm tool. BTW, the drain plug for the 2006, S60 R is 17 mm, so you’ll need a tool for that too. It also works for some BMWs too.
