How do i remove the throttle cable from a 1975 Suzuki TS185 enduro carburetor?

I am removing the carburetor from a 1975 suzuki ts185 enduro bike for cleaning reasons. however i cant figure out how to disconnect the actual throttle cable. i unscrewed the top cap but there is a spring underneath and an actual throttle wire that does not want to be removed. Any tips or clues on how to remove the cable from the carb are greatly appreciated.

yes pull the spring up cup it in your hand and there should be a small plate below. Push the cable down 1/4 in to 1/2 inch and push it to the side and then pull up. its slotted with a hole large enough to pull it and a slot to a smaller hole that it normally rests in.

there should be a clip under the barrel and spring(which will need to be compressed to remove)
