Works like a charm! Works for Uverse TV as well as networking.,
I have been using the 200 Mbps version for over a year to stream video from my network to a media player. It has worked great. I have had to relocate my main computer computer for a few months to a location that is difficult to run an ethernet cable to. I decided to give this new, faster Powerline adapter a try. I am very happy with the results. Just plug the two adapters into outlets and they connect. The security feature could not be easier. You press the security button on the one plugged into your router then you have about 2 minutes to press the button on the remote. That’s it! The two adapters are the same: both transmit and receive. You can add more adapters to the network as you need them.
Here is something that impressed me. My son-in-law had a TV issue. His TV is on an inside wall of a 2-story house with no easy way to get a cable to it. All ATT Uverse could do was drill a hole through the outside role, and they were temporarily just stringing a cable across the room. I told him that I understood that Uverse transmits TV over both the coax connector and the ethernet connector so a Powerline adapter might work, but I was not sure. This was before I had the 500 so I offered to let him try my 200 adapters just to test the concept. He went ahead and purchased 5501, and it WORKED! He plugged the main adapter in near his main distribution box, and plugged the ethernet cable into it. He plugged the other adapter near the TV with ethernet to the box for that TV. At first it wasn’t working, but he pressed the reset on both adapters to get them communicating.
So two happy customers in the same family!

|Adapter is easy to setup; fast.,
Got it quick with Amazon Prime. Product looks good. Very easy to setup. Connection speed definitely faster than WiFi. Sometimes takes too long to “wake up” from power save mode, but after launching Powerline Utility and refreshing connection, it’s up and running again.
Hope it lasts long, like my old white NetGear router.
