Question by drbarks: what is the difference between a regular 2004 Acura MDX and a Touring MDX?
I am looking at a 2004 Acura MDX and do not know if its a bae or a Touring. Other than an upgraded Bose stereo, what is the difference between the two and what additional options does the Touring have?

The 2004 MDX luxury SUV, which goes on sale today at Acura dealers nationwide, will be priced at $ 36,400. The MDX with Touring Package, which adds a roof rack, premium Acura/Bose Music System and other additional features, will be priced at $ 39,000. The MDX with Touring Package comes with two available factory options: the Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition priced at $ 2,200 and the Acura DVD Entertainment System priced at $ 1,500. Despite numerous improvements, 2004 MDX prices reflect a modest 1.8 percent increase, or $ 700, compared to last year based on a sales-weighted average.

The Touring has different styled rims and a chrome nameplate in the back, instead of the satin one like some others have. Also if the car is equiped with either the GPS system or a DVD player than it automatically comes with the Touring package since those options can’t be had in the base model.
