Would you name your son Aston the middle name would be Martin?

My husband wants to name our son (when we have one) Joe Martin, let me explain his dad’s name was Joe Martin, my dads name is Joe and my middle name is Jo I do not want to name my son Joe or Joseph just because of the fact it would be confusing, I like Aston Martin (you know like the car and he would still have the middle and last name. What do you think?
Thank you for your opinions, but to some of you yes i know its the name of a car, no i don’t think he’ll get made fun of the car is awesome in itself, and to tomywhatever we are both tall skinny people i dont think he’ll every be made fun of Ass-ton grow up!
But I do appreciate the more mature honsest questions.
I mean mature honest answers, oops

I think you should continue the tradition of Joe.

Yes and yes. Maybe he could grow up to be suave like Mr. Bond himself. I am all for catchy and smooth names.

If you like it, go for it!

Honestly? I think it’s really stupid. Please don’t subject your kid to that. They will have to live with it for the rest of their life.

Frickin Chicken says in May 24th 2010 at 12:27 am

I think Joe would be more appropriate.

I Think You Should Still Call Him Joe.

Timmy says in May 24th 2010 at 3:13 am

you do know that’s the name of a car?

Ashley S says in May 24th 2010 at 3:44 am

I think you should make a list of boy names that you and your husband like and choose from there

inka <3 says in May 24th 2010 at 4:24 am

I think that is absolutely awful. What planet are you on?

blank says in May 24th 2010 at 4:27 am

I suppose it’s just as well your surname isn’t Miner and the traditional name is Morris …

Jennie L says in May 24th 2010 at 5:39 am

Hopefully your last name isn’t Vanquish.

…Or maybe hopefully it is.

I would include the family name of Martin, but pass on Jo as a first since it’s so very common as a first in your family.

all my kids are named for someone in the family, but their middle names are the family name, with the exception of my youngest son- who is named for both my husband’s great-grandfather and my father. we figured since no one else was named for my hub’s G-Gfather we would use it as his first name, and my dad’s name as his middle.

I don’t personally care for Aston (the spelling is off from the traditional Ashton) i don’t like the “ash” names anways.

since Aston is pronounced like ash-TIN, it would sound too rhyme-y next to Martin.

Forget the Joe.
Be original.

Zebib G says in May 24th 2010 at 8:10 am

I like Joe Martin better and maybe you could make his middle name Aston, but if you like Aston Martin better that sounds cool too

Richard K says in May 24th 2010 at 8:36 am

No ! If you really want your son to become a complete laughing stock, why don’t you call him “Rover” !

lemonaide735 says in May 24th 2010 at 9:01 am

I like Aston Martin. It’s kind of cute! If you ever get a dog, name him Vanquish, then you could have Aston Martin and Vanquish!

Tears In Rain says in May 24th 2010 at 9:34 am

Aston Martin would be a awesome name for a guy!

It’s a bad^$$ car and everygirl loves cars!

You’d be doing him a favor later on in life, and should have no problem finding a daughter in law lol (wink, wink)

Peace ;)
